Data entry of accounts payable
and receivable invoices
Angelo ran a Brisbane food preparation business supplying the catering
industry with pre-prepared vegetables. Whilst margins were small
he knew he could make money provided he kept a close eye on his
expenses. Unfortunately at the end of the day he was often simply
too exhausted to sit down and go through the paperwork that seemed
to multiply on his desk.
Solution:
Angelo could use the experience of our Brisbane Bookkeeping office
to regularly enter his accounts payable and receivable invoices.
By staying on top of his paperwork in this way he always had a clear
picture of how things were tracking in the business.
Accounts payable reconciliations
Had Angelo used our Brisbane Bookkeeping to enter his accounts payable
on a regular basis, reconciliation of his creditors was already
half done. All he had to do now was provide the suppliers statements
and Qualified Bookkeeping would do the rest. Any discrepancies would
be quickly highlighted and resolved.
Debtor collections
Cash flow, cash flow, cash flow – the lifeblood of business! Working
on high volume and low margins meant it was critical for Angelo
to keep on top of his debtors. By using Qualified Bookkeeping to
regularly enter his accounts receivable he could quickly look over
the debtors aged trial balance and see if anyone was behind in paying
him. Brisbane Bookkeeping could also chase any late payments leaving
Angelo free to focus on the business.
Bank reconciliations
Most of Angelo’s clients paid him by direct bank transfer. Likewise
he paid many of his suppliers the same way which meant a large number
of transactions and an enormous headache for him when his bank statement
arrived. Who has paid? Who hasn’t paid? Did my payment go through
ok?
Solution:
Angelo could use Qualified Bookkeeping to reconcile his bank account
on a daily, weekly or even monthly basis ensuring that he knew exactly
who still owed him money and also that he was up to date with his
own suppliers’ payments.
